Choose who will provide your witnesses
Simply Married Online offers two ceremony options. Online Wedding is for couples who bring their own two adult witnesses. Online Wedding + 2 Witnesses includes both witnesses, so you do not have to arrange them yourself.
Both options include a live online ceremony, a Utah-based authorized officiant, and electronic submission of the completed ceremony information to Utah County. Choose based on the people you have available and the help you want. Explore the witnesses-included option.

Keep the county payment separate
Utah County handles the marriage-license application. Its charges are separate from Simply Married Online's ceremony fee. The county's application guide describes license charges, a transaction-processing fee, and optional documents and delivery services.
Review the official application guide and your itemized payment screen. Add that total to your budget once, including any documents you order there, so you do not count the same item again later.

Check which documents you will need afterward
Additional certified copies, an apostille request, shipping, or a translation may affect your total. They are not all necessary for every couple. Ask the organization that will receive your marriage record exactly what it needs before ordering extras.
Utah County's document ordering guide explains available documents and delivery arrangements. Translation needs should be checked with the receiving organization and a suitable translation provider. For use abroad, confirm acceptance requirements before booking; paying for a document does not itself guarantee acceptance.

Build a budget around your own plans
Open a note together and make three short lists:
- Ceremony and license: record the current price of your chosen package and the county payment.
- Documents and delivery: list only the additional items you have confirmed you need. Mark anything already included in your county order.
- Personal extras: decide what you want to spend on clothes, flowers, a meal, photographs, or a later celebration.
If you already have witnesses available, start with the bring-your-own-witnesses option. If coordinating two people would make planning harder, compare the witnesses-included package. If you will use documents abroad, get those requirements and quotes before deciding your total budget.
A special outfit or decorated room can be enjoyable, but your personal celebration budget is yours to choose. You can also marry simply now and celebrate later.
